OB1 Medical Equipment is committed to delivering your medical equipment quickly, safely, and professionally. We offer two delivery methods: local white-glove delivery in Fresno and Central Valley, and nationwide shipping for customers across the United States.

This Shipping Policy explains our processing times, delivery options, shipping rates, and what to do if there's an issue with your shipment. By placing an order with OB1 Medical Equipment, you agree to the terms outlined below.

Order Processing Time

Most in-stock orders are processed within 1-2 business days after payment is received. Orders placed on weekends or holidays will begin processing the next business day.

Processing time includes:

  • Order verification and payment confirmation
  • Insurance verification (for insurance-billed orders)
  • Prescription verification (for prescription items)
  • Equipment inspection and CDC-standard sanitization
  • Packaging and labeling for safe transit

Custom-configured equipment, special orders, and items requiring assembly may take 3-7 business days to process. We will notify you of any expected delays as soon as possible.

Local Delivery — Fresno & Central Valley

For customers in Fresno and surrounding Central Valley communities, we offer white-glove local delivery with full setup and equipment training. This is not a typical drop-off — our certified technicians deliver, assemble, install, and test your equipment in your home or facility.

Local Delivery Fees

  • FREE for orders over $499 within our standard service area
  • $25 standard delivery fee for orders under $499
  • $45 same-day delivery fee (when available)
  • Custom delivery pricing for specialized or oversized equipment

Nationwide Shipping

For customers outside the Central Valley, OB1 Medical Equipment ships nationwide via trusted carriers including UPS, FedEx, and USPS. All packages are professionally packaged to protect your equipment during transit.

Shipping Methods

  • Standard Ground Shipping: 3-7 business days
  • Expedited Shipping: 2-3 business days (additional charge)
  • Next-Day Air: Next business day (additional charge, where available)
  • Freight Shipping: 5-10 business days for oversized items

Delivery times are estimates based on the carrier and destination. They do not include weekends, holidays, or processing time.

Shipping Rates

We strive to offer competitive shipping rates while ensuring your equipment arrives safely.

Free Shipping

OB1 Medical Equipment offers FREE standard ground shipping on orders over $199 within the continental United States. This applies to most products and excludes oversized items, freight shipments, and certain destinations.

Standard Shipping Rates

For orders under $199, shipping is calculated at checkout based on:

  • Package weight and dimensions
  • Destination ZIP code
  • Shipping method selected
  • Carrier rates at time of order

The exact shipping cost will be displayed before you complete your purchase.

Freight Shipping for Large & Oversized Items

Certain items including hospital beds, patient lifts, large wheelchairs, scooters, and specialized equipment require freight shipping due to their size or weight. Freight shipments include the following:

  • Curbside delivery (delivered to the end of your driveway or curb)
  • Appointment scheduling — you'll be contacted to arrange delivery
  • Adult signature required at delivery
  • Inspection at the time of delivery is required

For an additional fee, the following services may be available:

  • Threshold delivery: Delivery just inside your front door
  • White-glove delivery: Delivery to room of choice with assembly and packaging removal
  • Inside delivery to second floor: Where access permits

Order Tracking

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking number and a link to track your package. You can monitor your shipment's progress directly through the carrier's website.

For local deliveries, our team will contact you by phone to schedule a delivery window that works for your schedule.

International Shipping

OB1 Medical Equipment currently ships only within the continental United States. We do not ship to:

  • Alaska and Hawaii (case-by-case basis — please contact us)
  • U.S. territories
  • APO/FPO addresses
  • International destinations

For special shipping requests outside our standard service area, please contact us directly to discuss options and pricing.

Shipping Delays

While we make every effort to ship orders on time, delays may occasionally occur due to circumstances beyond our control, including:

  • Severe weather conditions
  • Carrier service disruptions
  • National holidays
  • Inventory or supply chain issues
  • Insurance verification delays
  • Incorrect or incomplete shipping addresses

If we anticipate a significant delay with your order, we will notify you by email or phone as soon as possible. OB1 Medical Equipment is not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers or factors outside our control.

Damaged or Lost Shipments

We carefully package every shipment to prevent damage during transit. However, if your order arrives damaged, please follow these steps:

  1. Inspect immediately — Examine packaging and contents upon delivery
  2. Document damage — Take clear photos of damaged packaging and contents before unpacking further
  3. Save all materials — Keep all original packaging, including boxes and shipping labels
  4. Contact us within 48 hours — Call (800) 311-6209 or email info@ob1med.com immediately
  5. Do not discard — Hold the damaged item until we provide instructions

For freight deliveries, you must note any visible damage on the delivery receipt before signing for the shipment. Failure to do so may limit our ability to file a damage claim with the carrier.

Lost shipments will be investigated with the carrier. If a package is confirmed lost, we will replace the order or issue a full refund at our discretion.

Address Changes & Order Modifications

If you need to change your shipping address or modify your order, please contact us as soon as possible at (800) 311-6209. We can typically make changes to orders that have not yet been processed for shipping.

Once an order has been shipped, address changes may not be possible. If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect address provided by the customer, additional shipping fees may apply for re-delivery.

Please double-check your shipping address at checkout to avoid delivery issues.

Prescription Items & Insurance Orders

Orders containing prescription medical equipment may require additional processing time to verify the prescription with your healthcare provider. Insurance-billed orders may also take additional time as we verify coverage and obtain prior authorization when needed.

For these orders, you may be contacted by our team to provide:

  • A copy of your prescription
  • Insurance card information
  • Prior authorization documentation
  • Healthcare provider contact information

We will work to process your order as quickly as possible while ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.
